Vessels hybridizes sculpture with photography to investigate the dimensionality of material space. I use material space as a medium and the camera as a mechanism to flatten this occupied space. The constructed assemblages, made of paper, metal and tape, exist merely for the camera’s capture. Each composition expresses the interplay of sharpness and roundness and of the physical and the imaginary, and are designed to question our human interpretation of the world in its many dimensions and forms.
